Messy Church

Messy Church is a new way to worship — open to all ages and abilities. We worship: there is music and the Word and a meal together, but we do it through activities and movement and, yes, even messiness. If you’ve felt like traditional church is a challenge for your family, Messy Church is for you. Lunch is provided and we eat together, family style. Come join us!

Messy Church, Nov. 2023

Come join us for a nontraditional worship service with music, thanksgiving crafts and activities, and lunch together! The whole family is invited — all ages and abilities are welcomed. It’s church, but in a whole new way.

We’ll gather in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, November 19th at 11 am. See you there!

Messy Church, Sep. 2023

September’s Messy Church kicked off a new way for Good Shepherd to do church together. People of different ages gathered around activities that encouraged creatively engaging with the theme A New Beginning.

The essentials of church were there: welcome, God’s word spoken and sung, a meal, prayer and sending. But it also felt like something new. Come for Messy Church next time, as we invite a wider circle. Do you have a neighbor or family member who has said, “my kids can’t sit through an hour of church”? Bring them!
