The morning of Sunday, August 29, hurricane Ida made landfall twice on the coast of Louisiana as a Category 4 hurricane. Louisiana has faced the brunt of Ida’s impacts, seeing similar destruction to 2004’s hurricane Katrina. States along the gulf experienced impacts of Ida, with part of the Panhandle facing flooding, storm surge, and tornados. As the week went on, massive rain has effected the Northeast states as well.
