COVID-19 Update #2

To help prevent the spread of the coronavirus, Good Shepherd is suspending in-person gatherings for the foreseeable future. We have also closed our office hours. The staff will be working from home as much as possible. We are awaiting a fix from Spectrum before we can forward our phones, but in the meantime, you can leave a message and it will be checked periodically. You can also reply to this email to be in touch.

We will be broadcasting our worship live on Facebook which can be either accessed by ‘Liking’ our page on Facebook, or by going to our website — accessible using a smartphone, tablet, or computer. We plan to broadcast live on Sunday mornings at 9:45am as well as Wednesday evenings at 7pm. If you miss it live, you can still watch it later. Thank you for your willingness to explore this new kind of ministry with us! Please let us know if you need help getting the technology to work.

These are anxious and difficult times…times that pull us into the kind of prayer that comes from deep within, with sighs too deep for words. My prayers are with each of you as we wait to see how our lives will continue to change. I will leave psychology to the professionals, but from a theological standpoint: we are created to be in relationship with one another. Social isolation is a danger to us. But the body of Christ is spirit-filled and connects us across physical barriers. Be the church, be the body! Call people you know and check in with them. Pray with them. We can continue nurturing lives for following Christ. Be still and know that God is present in the body and always will be.

Grace and peace,
Pastor Keith
