For several years, Good Shepherd has partnered with Mildred Helms Elementary in Largo to support the students and families in our community.

The First Day of School is Wednesday, August 11, 2021. You can help support the families! Please return any of the following items to church on Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 11 am by Sunday, August 1st. If you are dropping off directly to Mildred Helms Elementary please be sure to contact the school so that someone will be there to receive donated items. Mildred Helms has classes from Pre-K through 5th Grade. Students are required to wear school uniforms and uniform donations are always appreciated.

All Class Wish Lists include:

  • Variety sizes of baggies including Sandwich Size & Gallon size
  • Boxes of Tissues
  • Hand sanitizers & soap
  • Paper towels
  • Thick and Thin Markers
  • Dry erase markers – black and color
  • Sticky notes/Post-it notes
  • Glue Sticks

Other needs include:

  • Zippered Back packs (no wheels please)
  • REGULAR BATH SIZE TOWEL for rest
  • Headphones (all grades)
  • Kindergarten classes need Jumbo Pencils
  • Snap lid pencil boxes
  • Black dry erase markers
  • #2 pencils
  • Jumbo Crayons (Kindergarten)
  • 1 inch binders with clear front pouch and pockets
  • Wide ruled composition notebooks
  • Folders
  • 16-count crayons
  • Scissors (3rd grade)
  • Folders with prongs and pockets
